Mitsubishi Montero Review
Mitsubishi Montero is another scintillating creation from the Japanese auto major, which went on to become one of the best-selling SUVs. It is a high end luxury vehicle and also an ideal off-roader developed by the company. This SUV has a compelling body structure featuring aggressive cosmetics all round. Its front facade looks quite attractive, owing to its large radiator grille that has a lot of chrome inserts. This vehicle also has an enchanting interior design that is designed with high quality scratch resistant materials. Furthermore, all the seats have been covered with premium leather upholstery, which further gives a plush appeal to the cabin. On the other hand, the automaker has bestowed this model with innovative comfort features like power adjustable front seats with heating function, fully automatic air conditioning system and a cruise control system. It is currently available with 3.0-litre petrol and 3.2-litre diesel engine options, which are mated with 4-speed and 5-speed automatic transmission gearbox respectively.
Mileage and Fuel economy:
Its petrol engine is integrated with an electronically controlled multi point fuel injection technology. It can generate a maximum mileage in the range of 8 to 9 Kmpl. On the other hand, its diesel engine is incorporated with a common rail fuel injection technology. This helps the vehicle to produce a maximum of 13 Kmpl.
The petrol version is powered by a six cylinders engine that is based on DOHC valve configuration. It can produce a commanding power of 135Kw and a hammering torque output of 278Nm. Its diesel version is powered by a 3.2-litre engine that has 4-cylinders. This engine can unleash a power of 165Kw at 3500rpm that results in a pounding torque of 343Nm.
Acceleration And Pickup:
Both the engines in this series help the vehicle to reach a top speed in the range of 185 to 190 Kmph. However, its petrol mill can break the 100 Kmph speed barrier in approximately 9 seconds. On the other hand, the diesel version can accelerate from 0 to 100 Kmph in about 11 seconds.

On the other hand, its diesel version is powered by a 3.2-litre engine that has common rail fuel injection system. This 4-cylinder engine has a displacement capacity of 3200cc and is incorporated with a turbocharger. It can churn out a power of 165Kw at 3500rpm that results in a hammering torque of 343Nm at 2000rpm. This engine is mated to a five speed automatic transmission gearbox.
Stereo and Accessories:
The manufacturer has equipped its dashboard with a proficient music system featuring a 6 disc CD player, an FM radio along Rockford 12 speakers including audio jack. In addition to these, it also houses a central information display and port for USB device. On the other hand, customers can incorporate a DVD player along with a touchscreen infotainment system including a navigator, which further enhances the convenience.
